Paraplanner Opportunity with path to Financial Planner position

Role Purpose:

Collaborate with a team of Financial Planners and colleagues to prepare recommendations, produce suitability reports, and maintain client records. Promote our clients’ services professionally and in compliance with FCA regulations. As you demonstrate your skills and knowledge, transition into a Trainee Financial Planner role, assisting and observing Financial Planners, with the goal of becoming qualified to provide financial advice.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

Preparation of Recommendations:

  • Discuss client objectives and recommendations with Financial Planners
  • Conduct tax planning calculations and assess provider communications
  • Utilise investment and product research systems like Voyant and FE Analytics
  • Prepare written recommendations and maintain client files
  • Liaise with the admin team and Financial Planners to ensure accurate implementation of recommendations
  • Perform cash flow planning analysis

Other Tasks and Functions:

  • Maintain and improve research systems and processes
  • Provide technical support to Financial Planners
  • Adhere to compliance requirements and procedures
  • Share knowledge and experience with other Paraplanners and trainees
  • Assist in planning and delivering client information sessions and business development events
  • Promote the business externally and build a network for future growth

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Diploma level 4 qualification with previous paraplanning experience
  • Experience with pension transfers, tax planning, and investment planning for High-Net-Worth clients
  • Strong understanding of markets, asset types, and investment risks
  • Proficiency in desktop applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with Intelligent Office preferred
