A well-established wealth management firm is looking for a Diploma-qualified Paraplanner with a minimum of two years' paraplanning experience to join their team on a permanent basis. This role will focus primarily on report writing rather than operational or administrative tasks, making it an excellent opportunity for a technically strong paraplanner looking to specialise in research and analysis.

About the Role

As a Paraplanner, you will provide technical support to advisers, producing high-quality suitability reports and conducting in-depth research to support financial planning recommendations. The role requires a strong understanding of investments, pensions, and tax planning, with a keen eye for detail and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing detailed suitability reports and recommendations following client meetings.

  • Conducting technical research and analysis on investment, pension, and tax planning solutions.

  • Ensuring reports are in line with regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards.

  • Supporting advisers with complex financial planning scenarios, providing accurate and well-structured reports.

  • Keeping up to date with legislative changes, tax implications, and market developments to ensure the best client outcomes.

  • Liaising with advisers to ensure client objectives and financial plans are clearly documented and supported with robust research.

About You
  • Qualifications: Diploma-qualified (CII Level 4 Financial Planning or equivalent) - essential.

  • Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience as a Paraplanner within a wealth management or financial planning firm.

  • Skills: Strong report writing ability, excellent analytical skills, and high attention to detail.

  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of pensions, investments, tax planning, and financial planning products.

  • Tech: Proficiency in CRM systems (Xplan preferred) and MS Word/Excel.
