Reed Accountancy are excited to be working with a returning client who are a well-established firm in the Legal Sector who are looking for a Billing administrator to join their dynamic team.

This role involves monitoring partner and client portfolios, ensuring timely dispatch of bills, and managing billing-related queries. The ideal candidate will have a background in finance within a partnership or professional services environment and possess strong analytical and communication skills.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Monitoring the portfolio of bills issued, ensuring they are dispatched within the firm’s policy timeframe.
  • Handling ad-hoc proforma requests and generate reports.
  • Amending proformas and input billing guide amendments to the pre-billing system according to Partner/Associate requirements.
  • Forwarding billing guides to alternative reviewers and editors as required.
  • Manage a high volume of invoices and billing-related queries.
  • Liaise with the Working Capital Support team to assist in resolving complex queries.
  • Prepare narratives and fee breakdowns as required.
  • Prepare covering documents for dispatch on generated bills for Partner/Associate review.
  • Facilitate the dispatch of bills to clients in line with client requirements.
  • Handle post-billing queries including requesting credit notes and re-issue instructions

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a partnership or professional services environment with a finance background.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to prioritise and manage own workload.
  • Flexible in approach and able to use initiative while working well within a team.
