We have a current opportunity for a Head of HR Systems & Projects on a permanent basis for our public sector client. The position will be based in Edinburgh.

The role holder will lead the HR Project Team and play a key role in ensuring a more modern approach to people management across both all professional service units.

This will involve working with service leads across HR & People team to continue to evolve and operationalise the agreed Target Operating Model, supporting the detailed design of new services to ensure a coherent experience across the staff journey as well as engaging at all levels across the organisation to develop and foster a shared vision and roadmap to success.

Other Duties Include;

  • Help build a strong, engaged and collaborative HR project team, comprising subject matter experts across HR, People, IT and the wider organisation
  • Work with HR and People colleagues to support them to evolve and develop their services in line with the new Target Operating Model
  • Input into the Technology Enabling Strategy with IT including working with colleagues with all levels to help identify key requirements to deliver the new TOM
  • Work with Project leads to identify and develop enhancements to the collection, quality and analysis of HR data to deliver the project's data focused outcomes around the staff record and workforce reporting

Essential Experience;

  • Proven experience of managing organisational change and delivering HR service and system change
  • In-depth understanding of modern HR Target Operating Models and their effective application
  • Strong people management skills including in developing and leading high performing teams and individuals
  • Sound judgement including a proven ability to evaluate different options and approaches and determine a way forward
  • Strong track record of delivery with proven project and time management skills, and an ability to juggle a diverse workload
