Junior Paraplanner - 12-Month Fixed Term Contract

A well-respected wealth management firm is looking for a Junior Paraplanner (Report Writer) to join their team on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract, with strong potential for a permanent position. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with advisers, supporting financial planning activities and ensuring an exceptional client experience.

About the Role

As a Junior Paraplanner, you will work closely with 2-3 advisers, supporting them with financial planning activities and ensuring an exceptional client experience. Your role will involve preparing reports, managing client reviews, and handling administrative processes to maintain high standards of compliance and service.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Technical Support

  • Preparing Statements of Suitability (SOS) following client meetings.

  • Producing new business reports, including ISA/GIA top-ups, pension transfers, fund switches, and withdrawals.

  • Managing ongoing client reviews and suitability assessments.

Operational & Administrative Duties

  • Supporting advisers with new business processing and client onboarding via the CRM system (Xplan).

  • Maintaining accurate and compliant client files.

  • Acting as a secondary point of contact for client queries.

  • Managing adviser pipelines and assisting with system updates.

Process & Compliance

  • Taking dealing instructions from clients and advisers, including switches, rebalances, and fund management.

  • Ensuring all client communication is timely, accurate, and compliant.

  • Liaising with internal teams to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Assisting in the review and creation of procedures to improve workflow.

About You
  • Experience: 2-3 years within Financial Services, ideally in paraplanning or client support.

  • Skills: Strong report writing ability, high attention to detail, and excellent organisation skills.

  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of pensions, investments, and financial planning products.

  • Tech: Experience with CRM systems (Xplan preferred) and proficiency in MS Word/Excel.

  • Qualifications: Progression towards ndustry qualifications (e.g., CII Level 4 Financial Planning) is desirable but not essential.
