Edinburgh 

With a Focus on Commercial Disputes along with Property & Infrastructure Disputes.

A big four large national law firm is keen to bring in an experienced Legal PA to join its friendly team in Edinburgh. The main purpose of the role is to help deliver exceptional, proactive and experienced personal assistant support to a team of partners and a fee earner.

Some of the day-to-day tasks & responsibilities:

  • Handle client/matter opening and closing, including conflict checks, liaising with Finance/AML and creating engagement letters
  • Manage diaries, check weekly/monthly commitments, book rooms, catering, IT support and communicate with attendees
  • Oversee email accounts, including partner in boxes and those of absent fee earners; manage email storage and filing
  • Attend team meetings, manage attendance, room setup and technology, take notes and ensure task completion
  • Handle billing, payment and client fee portals
  • Produce and send invoices, resolve queries and manage purchase orders
  • Undertake filing/scanning, photocopying and binding, and assist clients as needed
  • Arrange travel, manage itineraries and diaries, and reclaim expenses
  • Perform ad hoc admin tasks
  • Liaise with support teams (Finance, Facilities, Reception, Marketing, IT)
  • Provide support to the wider PA group as required

Do you have what it takes to be successful?

  • Three years' experience gained within a comparable environment and at an appropriate level
  • Existing experience being a personal assistant to a team and not just one partner/fee earner
