Offshore Consents Manager required for a major offshore wind developer based in Scotland

Responsibilities

  • Support the Offshore Consent Leads in the delivery of the offshore consents and licensing requirements required for clientsprojects and working with the wider team.
  • Reviewing of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) technical deliverables prepared by third party consultants. Focus will either be on biological topics or human topics, dependant on experience, across both projects
  • Liaise with external service providers where required, as directed by the Offshore Consent Manager.
  • Participate in the identification and management of consenting risks for design, construction, operation, and decommissioning.
  • Support in engagement with key stakeholders (statutory consultees and key consultees) to support offshore consenting requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with project team to ensure environmental and consenting requirements are linked with design activities.
  • Other activities as may be reasonably required by the Company from time to time.

Requirements

  • Proactive, solution-focused approach to complex consenting / environmental issues.
  • Demonstrable experience working within renewable energy or environmental consultancy, with a clear focus on project consenting and development, taking projects through the consenting process
  • Minimum of 5 years experience.
  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (such as marine biology, environmental science, engineering, planning, geography).
  • Ability to engage with and empathise with stakeholders.
  • Contract role based in Edinburgh, remote and flexible working arrangements can be discussed.
