Statement Taker

Statement Taker - 223pd (Outside IR35) - 23 Months - Edinburgh (hybrid)

Parity is delighted to partner with our client, a public sector organisation, who are looking to recruit Statement Takers to work on a public inquiry on a contract basis for 23 months. You will be based in offices in Edinburgh and you will receive a daily rate of 223.

Primary responsibilities will include liaising with witnesses and interviewees and organising interview sessions in order to obtain comprehensive statements which you will prepare for submission. You will be working alongside the legal and witness support teams to ensure best practice.

There may be a requirement to travel UK wide in order to facilitate the statement taking so flexibility to do this is a must.

I would love to hear from applicants who have familiarity with large scale investigations or public inquiries and skills including:

• Experience or understanding of issues facing vulnerable interviewees and of handling sensitive information
• Excellent IT skills
• Day-to-day delivery and completion of business processes including preparing reports
• GDPR/Data Protection knowledge
