ASA Recruitment are currently seeking Day and Evening Porters for a 4 star hotel in Edinburgh. These are part-time opportunities work on a rolling 2-week rota. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering great service in a professional manner and be able to work well under pressure. For the right individuals, there may also be opportunities for temporary-to-permanent roles, providing you with long-term career prospects.
Key Responsibilities:
Depending on the shift, duties will include:
- Warmly greeting guests upon arrival and providing excellent service throughout their stay.
- Assisting with guest check-ins and check-outs.
- Escorting guests to their rooms and offering a comprehensive overview of the hotel's facilities.
- Storing luggage for early arrivals and late departures.
- Ensuring the lobby area is clean, organised, and presentable at all times.
- Assisting in the coordination of housekeeping schedules.
- Supporting breakfast service, ensuring timely and efficient guest service.
- Conducting room and stock checks as required.
Requirements
- Valid Right to Work in the UK
- Proven experience as a hotel porter or similar
- CV covering 5 years work history
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
- Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
