Your new companyHays Human Resources are currently supporting a professional services organisation with the recruitment of an HR Advisor on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract basis.

This role will be responsible for providing a comprehensive generalist HR service to the business, where you will get involved in all aspects of employee lifecycle, with a key focus on employee relations.Your new role

  • Providing first line generalist HR advice and support to employees on terms and conditions of employment and HR policies and procedures
  • Offering advice and guidance on employee relations - performance, discipline, grievances, including policy/procedure and legislation, attending formal investigations and hearings
  • Managing absence and attendance data, acting as the first-stage support for managers and liaising with occupational health
  • Managing family-friendly policies and procedures i.e. flexible working requests, maternity, paternity, adoption leave
  • Managing the leavers process i.e. exit interviews, liaising with payroll and sending out relevant correspondence
  • Undertaking recruitment, selection and onboarding activities, including interviews

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous HR experience at an HR Advisor level with CIPD qualification or equivalent
  • Previous experience with employee relations is essential.
  • Ability to work freely but also as part of a team with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, persuade, trial and influence effectively and be a trusted advisor
