Role Overview:

As a Product Specialist, the role will involve providing expert software training and support to law firm clients. The key responsibilities include managing software migration projects, delivering tailored training, and ensuring clients get the most out of the company's case management and cashroom software.

Legal Software Product Specialist - Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee client migration projects to the company's new software platform, ensuring seamless transitions and high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Training Delivery: Deliver customized training (both remotely and onsite) to law firm staff at all levels, using a range of formats including one-on-one and group sessions.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and nurture client relationships, offering advice on best practices to optimize the use of the company's software solutions.
  • Needs Analysis & Implementation: Conduct training needs assessments and implement client-specific training requirements to ensure effective learning outcomes.
  • Telephone Training & Post-Migration Support: Provide ongoing telephone-based training and product support after migrations are complete.
  • Onboarding & Project Management: Oversee the onboarding process for new clients, managing all aspects of the related project work.
  • Content Management: Keep client-facing documentation and learning platforms updated with the latest course materials and software information.
  • E-Learning Support: Contribute to the creation of online training videos for the company's digital learning platforms.
  • Software Testing: Participate in pre-release testing of new software features to ensure they meet client requirements.
  • Sales Support: Assist the sales team with technical expertise during pre-sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Business Opportunity Identification: Gather feedback from clients and identify potential opportunities for new business or software enhancements.

Legal Software Product Specialist - Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Experience working in a law firm is essential, preferably in a role such as Legal Cashier, Practice Manager, or In-house Software Trainer.
    • A strong understanding of Scottish legal accounts and cashroom procedures is highly desirable.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Solid experience with legal cashroom management and bookkeeping.
    • Confidence in delivering training to professionals at various levels within a law firm.
    • Excellent communication skills, including a professional and friendly telephone manner.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and maintain high levels of organization.
    • Willingness to travel across the UK for onsite training, including overnight stays when necessary.
    • Strong IT skills, particularly in Windows and Microsoft Office applications, with the capacity to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
    • A solid understanding of the legal sector and the strategic role of technology in enhancing business operations.
    • Familiarity with legal practice management systems; prior experience with similar software would be advantageous.
