Edinburgh OR Glasgow (Hybrid)

Loriens leading public sector client is looking for a Senior Information Governance Specialist (Data Protection) to support their programme on an initial 3-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist advice in the provision of Data Protection knowledge and expertise, by providing expert practitioner support to the Technology Service in the development and delivery of the data programme.
  • Provide leadership and direction by providing assurance that the appropriate due diligence has been undertaken, to ensure the lawful and secure processing of personal identifiable data in the delivery of the national programme
  • Responsible for ensuring that the development and implementation of new software/technical solutions adhere to data protection legislative requirements, and that associated risks are adequately mitigated
  • Be proactive in the application of expert Data Protection knowledge in the drafting of appropriate accountability and governance documentation, including Data Protection Impact Assessments, Information Sharing Agreements and Data Processing Agreements.
