Head Resourcing are pleased to be working with a well-established professional body based in Edinburgh as they look to recruit a Head of IT for an initial period of 6 months. Our client strives to be a world class professional body, serving the needs of its members and the public. This is an excellent opportunity to push through a transformation project that has already began and lead the IT function going forward.

In this role you will be responsible for eight IT colleagues, the wider transformation team, as well as providing exceptional IT services to the wider organisation. You will be expected to interpret the current IT strategy, lead all aspects of cyber security, drive innovation and efficiencies, and ensure smooth delivery of the IT transformation programme working closely with the programme team.

Required experience:

  • Deliver a long-term IT and digital strategy for the LSS which addresses future use of applications, infrastructure, communication technology, video conferencing, system integration, hosted platforms
  • Work closely with the Digital Transformation Programme Manager to ensure smooth transition of transformative projects to BAU
  • Interpret the business strategy and deliverables of the Society and deliver an IT Strategy to meet the company's plans
  • Lead the IT team in all aspects of Cyber Security
  • Be a leading proponent of IT Programme / Project Management methodologies and tools to deliver business solutions
  • Deliver and support all aspects of IT, including business systems, on-premise infrastructure, cloud applications and infrastructure, cyber security and learning and development
