You will be a lead technical member of our in-house IT department who are responsible for the deployment, management and security of all aspects of the IT infrastructure which includes servers, firewalls, networking devices, security appliances and workstations.

The Role

You will join an experienced IT team where you will design, test and implement technology solutions that are needed to meet the demands of a growing technology organisation with ever increasing compliance requirements.

This role is suitable for a technical expert who can work both independently and collaboratively with other team members with minimal supervision required. Although this is primarily a technical position, you will be given responsibility to manage projects and resources to deliver effective change within the company.

You will work closely with the IT Manager to define the architectural requirements of the business and ensure our compliance and operational objectives are achieved.

Required Skills

  • Deep knowledge of enterprise Microsoft environments and supporting technologies, both on-prem and hybrid-cloud.
  • Solid understanding of secure architecture and design principles across the IT stack, covering areas such as identity and access management, endpoint protection, encryption, intrusion detection/prevention, SIEM/SOAR and virtual private networks.
  • Expert troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with an eye for detail and the persistence to resolve difficult issues.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering complex IT technology projects to specification and deadline.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders and vendors, communicate requirements accurately and deliver proposals. You will also be expected to provide guidance and mentorship to more junior members of the team.
  • A risk-based mindset, able to identify, assess and report on risk throughout the IT lifecycle.

Experience

Experience in at least some of the following areas is desirable:

  • Experience with common cyber security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST Special Publications, CMMC, PCI-DSS or Cyber Essentials.
  • Use of IT automation tools and techniques (e.g. Ansible, PowerShell).
  • Experience with cloud migrations.
