Head Resourcing are looking for an IT trainer for a leading charity dedicated to preserving and promoting Scotland's natural and cultural heritage. The companies mission is to protect and share the unique landscapes, historic sites, and cultural treasures of Scotland for future generations.

The role pays up to 40k, is based in Edinburgh 1 day per week with some travel to other sites, and is a 12 month contract.

A drivers license is ideal for this role but not essential.

The primary purpose of this role is to create the training plan and materials to support the rollout of a new EPOS solution across multiple sites. The IT Trainer will ensure that all users are proficient in using the new system, facilitating a smooth transition and maximising the efficiency and effectiveness of the new solution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and analysis of job functions.
  • Develop and maintain a training plan.
  • Conduct hands-on training sessions, workshops, both in-person and remotely for diverse audiences, including end-users, administrators, and technical staff.
  • Develop and update training materials, including manuals, guides, and video tutorials.
  • Customise training programs to meet the specific needs of the end users.
  • Provide ongoing support and follow-up training as needed.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to stay updated on new features and enhancements.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training program and make improvements as necessary.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in software training.
  • Demonstratable proven experience in delivering training both face-to-face and remotely.
  • Strong experience in creating training materials, including videos.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and deliver them in an understandable manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience of working with contractors and 3rd party providers.
