Note: This is an onsite role with no remote or hybrid options available.As the Manufacturing Production Engineer, you will take ownership of mechanical and production process improvements, directly influencing quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across operations.Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading Mechanical Aspects of NPI Projects: Integrate new products seamlessly into production, maintaining high standards of quality and performance.
  • Implementing Lean Techniques: Apply methodologies such as Kaizen, 5S, and FMEA to optimise workflows, enhance productivity, and reduce costs.
  • Enhancing Health and Safety Standards: Lead safety improvements focused on mechanical operations, ensuring a safe, compliant environment on the production floor.
  • Standardising Production Documentation: Create and manage essential documents—including SOPs, BOMs, and AutoCAD drawings—to support process consistency and efficiency.
  • Providing Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Conduct root cause analysis to resolve issues and support the installation of new machinery for optimal mechanical productivity.
We’re looking for a motivated Manufacturing Production Engineer with solid mechanical expertise and a proven ability to drive improvement in a manufacturing setting. You should have:
  • Mechanical Engineering Qualifications: HND or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Production Engineering Experience: Previous experience in the role with a focus on mechanical process improvement.
  • Lean Manufacturing Skills: Proficiency in Lean techniques such as Kaizen, 5S, and FMEA to drive continuous improvement.
  • Quality and Health & Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and health and safety regulations (IOSH is a plus).
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with AutoCAD, MS Office, and advanced problem-solving skills for mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and deliver clear project updates.
