Stores Assistant - Edinburgh

Blue Arrow are recruiting for a Canteen Stores Assistant to work at HMP Edinburgh. This is a 6 week role initially that will see you provide an effective and efficient canteen service to the prisoner population, working in a stores environment.Main duties:* Deliver an effective and efficient canteen service* Contribute towards an effective stock management system* Deliver canteen items to prisoner accommodation areas* Process canteen sheets through the Prisoner Records System* Collect and check all prisoner canteen sheets* Collect sundry sheets and deliver prisoner sundry items to prisoners accommodation areas* Assist with incoming deliveries, which may require the post holder to lift heavy stock items and deliver canteen stock items within the establishment on a daily basis* Collect newspaper/magazines and deliver to the prisoner accommodation areas* Reconcile canteen sheets through the computerised till* Work under the direction of the Canteen Administrator* Conduct weekly/monthly stock checks, and maintain stock levels and reorder stock on a weekly basis* Process canteen invoices for payment* Process all prisoner canteen and sundry request to set deadlines* Communicate with other internal departments and other external companies
