About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate or Director Level Planner to join a well-established and growing team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director to lead the Edinburgh Office and oversee the management of the team. This role is ideal for an experienced planning professional with a strong track record in business development and leadership within the Scottish Development Industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the Managing Director to lead and manage the Edinburgh office.
  • Oversee and support the planning team in delivering high-quality projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry professionals.
  • Lead business development efforts to grow the company's presence in Scotland.
  • Provide strategic planning advice on a range of projects.
  • Ensure successful delivery of large-scale commercial, city development, public sector, renewable energy, and housing projects.
  • Represent the company at industry events, meetings, and public consultations.
  • Stay up to date with planning regulations, policies, and industry trends.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Chartered Member of the RTPI.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proven experience in business development and client engagement.
  • A successful track record in large-scale commercial, city development, public sector, renewable energy, and housing projects.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong understanding of Scottish planning regulations and policies.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
