We are currently recruiting for a Senior Town Planner to join a dynamic and forward-thinking planning consultancy. Our client, a well-established and respected name in the planning sector, is looking for an experienced professional to support and manage a wide range of complex and diverse projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead planning applications and projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with local and national planning policies.
- Provide expert advice to clients on planning matters, with a focus on promoting sustainable development.
- Prepare, review, and submit planning applications, reports, and planning statements.
- Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and other external agencies to drive project success.
- Manage and mentor junior staff, offering guidance and support in their professional development.
- Contribute to business development efforts, including engaging with potential clients and participating in project tenders.
Key Requirements:
- A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI accreditation preferred).
- Significant experience in planning within the public and private sectors, ideally with a focus on development management and policy work.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a passion for town planning and development.
