Senior Planning Consultant - Edinburgh

Are you an experienced town planner looking for your next career move? My client, a leading independent planning consultancy, is expanding its Edinburgh team and is seeking a Senior Planning Consultant to play a key role in delivering high-profile projects across Scotland.



About the Role

As a Senior Planning Consultant, you will manage your own projects, lead planning applications and appeals, and provide expert advice across various development sectors, including energy, infrastructure, residential, retail, healthcare, and more. You will also contribute to strategic planning appraisals, development plan submissions, and client engagement, all while working in a dynamic and commercially driven environment.



What We're Looking For

Qualifications & Experience:

  • RTPI accredited degree/postgraduate qualification in Town Planning
  • Minimum of five years of postgraduate professional experience in Scotland

Key Skills:

  • Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and meet strict deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • A full driving license and access to a car
