Environmental & Rural Property Solicitor (1 year+)Â
A highly respected UK law firm headquartered in Scotland is seeking a solicitor join its Real Estate team, with a focus on environmental law, rural property and natural capital.

This role sits within a specialist team advising on the legal aspects of rural property, environmental regulation and sustainability-driven land use. You will have the chance to support a wide variety of clients, including estates, landowners, forestry investors and developers involved in energy and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling rural land transactions, including the purchase and sale of estates, farms and forestry assets
- Advising on environmental matters such as natural capital, carbon sequestration and biodiversity projects
- Supporting landowners on renewable energy and infrastructure developments
- Drafting and negotiating title documentation, option agreements, wayleaves and servitudes
- Providing strategic legal advice on rural development, planning and land reform
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified solicitor with 1+ years’ PQE in real estate, rural property, or environmental law
- Strong understanding of property transactions, title review and land-based legal issues
- Excellent communication, drafting and organisational skills
- A genuine interest in rural affairs, sustainability and the environment
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
