- Advising on a wide variety of pension schemes, corporate pension structures, and compliance with UK pensions legislation.
- Providing guidance on pensions regulatory matters, including Pensions Regulator interventions and pension scheme funding.
- Supporting clients with mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions that affect pension arrangements.
- Drafting and negotiating scheme documents, including trust deeds and rules, and advising on pension scheme funding negotiations.
- Collaborating with internal departments such as employment, tax, and corporate to deliver seamless cross-disciplinary advice.
- 4-5 years of PQE as a pensions solicitor, ideally with experience from a reputable law firm.
- A strong academic background and a solid understanding of UK pensions law.
- Proven experience in advising both employers and trustees on pension matters, including scheme management and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
