Description

  • Advising on consenting matters under the Electricity Act 1989, Planning Act 2008, Town and Country Planning Acts, and other regulatory frameworks.

  • Supporting major energy and infrastructure projects, including wind, solar, nuclear, carbon capture, and large-scale transport schemes.

  • Managing compulsory purchase, environmental impact assessments, and judicial review proceedings.

  • Representing clients in public inquiries, hearings, and examinations.

  • Developing client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives.

Profile

  • A solicitor or equivalent with at least 1 years' PQE, ideally in a leading firm or planning practice.

  • Experienced in advising on planning, consenting, and environmental matters, particularly in energy and infrastructure.

  • Knowledgeable in regulatory frameworks such as the Electricity Act 1989, Planning Act 2008, and Town and Country Planning Acts.

  • Commercially aware, with a proactive and strategic approach to client work.

  • A team player with excellent communication and business development skills.
