Valeco Recruitment are delighted to be working and supporting our client again who are a leading legal firm with a strong presence in Edinburgh. They have a rare and excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Administrator to join their busy Residential Conveyancing team based in their Morningside office.

Our client pride themselves on providing friendly, professional, and constructive advice to their clients throughout the buying and selling process, and they are looking for a dedicated individual to support their team in delivering this exceptional service.

About the Team:

The Residential Property team has extensive experience in all aspects of buying, selling, transferring titles, and remortgaging properties. Their Estate Agency has a strong presence in EH10, and their conveyancing team handle properties across Edinburgh and beyond.

About the Role:

As a key member of the team, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to their conveyancing team, assisting them in carrying out conveyancing work on behalf of clients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting letters and legal documents.
  • Undertaking searches with the Local Authority and Land Register of Scotland.
  • Preparing Land Registration and LBTT forms.
  • Assisting with the preparation of fee notes.
  • Liaising directly with clients and other parties involved in transactions.
  • Ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures during client onboarding.

About You:

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, proactive, and confident team player with:

  • Experience in a similar administrative or secretarial role, ideally within the legal or property sector (although not essential).
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise a high-volume workload.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • The ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships.
