Legal Typist/Secretary - ConveyancingLocation: On-siteSalary: £26,000 - £28,000 (depending on experience)Hours: Monday - FridayA well-established estate agency and solicitors firm is seeking an experienced Legal Typist/Secretary to join their conveyancing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong audio typing skills and previous experience in conveyancing, looking to work in a fast-paced and professional environment.Key Responsibilities:Providing secretarial and administrative support to solicitors within the conveyancing department.Audio and copy typing of legal documents, correspondence, contracts, and forms with a high degree of accuracy.Preparing and formatting conveyancing documents, including sales, purchases, transfers, and mortgage deeds.Managing solicitor diaries, scheduling appointments, and organising client meetings.Handling telephone and email correspondence with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other stakeholders.Maintaining and updating client files, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.Ensuring all administrative tasks are completed efficiently to support the smooth running of the department.
Key Skills & Experience Required:Previous experience as a Legal Typist or Legal Secretary within a law firm or conveyancing practice.Strong audio and copy typing skills, with a fast and accurate typing speed.Experience in conveyancing is essential.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure.Professional and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic estate agency and solicitors firm, offering a competitive salary and a professional working environment.
