Conflicts Analyst – Risk & ComplianceLeeds/Edinburgh/Glasgow/ManchesterAre you passionate about compliance, risk management, and providing strategic advice on critical regulatory matters? We are working with a leading top 100 UK Law firm looking for a  Conflicts Analyst to join a high-performing team supporting a global business. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain exposure to complex conflict and confidentiality issues while working in a collaborative and agile environment.This role offers the chance to work closely with senior stakeholders, including the General Counsel, Conflicts Committee, and Conflicts Partner, and contribute to firm-wide compliance initiatives. With a focus on identifying and resolving conflicts of interest, you’ll play a key role in safeguarding the firm’s reputation and driving effective risk management.The RoleAs a Conflicts Analyst, you will ensure compliance with professional obligations while supporting the delivery of practical and strategic solutions to conflicts and confidentiality issues. You will also contribute to broader Office of the General Counsel (OGC) projects and initiatives.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting legal analysis of conflicts and confidentiality issues and reviewing conflict check results.
  • Advising and supporting the Conflicts Committee/Partner by collecting relevant information and making recommendations.
  • Identifying and addressing commercial, risk, and reputational issues at the client acceptance and conflict-checking stages.
  • Collaborating with partners and fee earners to resolve conflicts, manage confidentiality, and provide advice on terms of engagement.
  • Attending and contributing to Conflicts Committee/Partner meetings, and ensuring decisions are communicated and implemented effectively.
  • Liaising with the Business Acceptance Unit (BAU) to establish appropriate confidentiality protocols.
