Certain Advantage are delighted to be supporting a leading, Scottish firm to secure them a new Paralegal to join their established and high performing team in Edinburgh. Ideally for this role, you will have strong Civil Litigation or Personal Injury experience and be a resilient, client-focused individual.

Due to the nature of the work undertaken in this role, you will be empathetic, professional and understanding, providing invaluable support, and working to secure compensation as well as giving them the support and services they need.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established team, in a challenging but rewarding area of Personal Injury Law.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity working core business hours Monday - Friday. This role will follow a hybrid working policy, with a salary which is DOE.

Are you who we are looking for?

  • You have strong experience within Personal Injury or Civil Litigation sectors
  • You are a professional individual, who can work proactively, individually or as part of a wider team environment
  • You are client focused, and have experience working within a Pursuer environment
  • You are a confident communicator both written and orally
  • You have a strong attention to detail and can work to your own initiative
  • You can support and provide guidance to a range of clients
  • You have experience managing your own case holdings, as well as assisting others with complex cases when required
  • You enjoy building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages, and legal systems

What is the day to day like?

  • Handling incoming enquiries from clients and stakeholders
  • Assessing the validity of claims, and undertaking investigations and research
  • Preparing reports daily for a range of stakeholders
  • Preparing all correspondence daily
  • Summarising legal documents and checking all documents daily
  • Preparing and drafting a variety of legal documents daily
  • Managing your own caseload proactively
  • Building strong relationships with clients in an empathetic and supportive manner
  • Working well individually and within a wider team, managing complex cases
  • Ensuring all work is completed within set targets and deadlines
