Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 per year

Reed is working with an Edinburgh based client of ours that are on the hunt for a Logistics and Rental Fleet Manager. This is an opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Logistics & Fleet Rental Manager and is ideal for someone with a strong background in freight forwarding & inventory management, with a willingness to expand their expertise into logistics.Duties within the role-
- Oversee the daily operations of the rental fleet, ensuring all equipment is well-maintained and ready for re-hire.
- Manage yard health and safety and conduct training for yard staff.
- Handle the loading and unloading of shipping containers.
- Manage the return, inspection, and maintenance of the rental fleet.
- Conduct quarterly stock takes and assist in the development of new systems to support company growth.
- Coordinate activities of the yard team and provide backup support for the Logistics Manager.
- Issue Certificates of Conformity and manage bookings for UK and international air freight and sea freight shipping.
Required Skills & Qualifications-
Proven experience in inventory management, particularly with bulk items.
- Proven experience in inventory management, particularly with bulk items.
- Experience in handling large quantities of heavy equipment is highly advantageous.
- Proven experience in freight forwarding
- Experience in national and international shipping
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team positively.
- Excellent organisational skills and a keen attention to detail.
