My client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their site on the outskirts of Edinburgh. - Working as part of a small team on various projects at different stages of the life cycle
- Ensure that the manufacturing process on the different production areas operate as smoothly and efficiently as possible
- Allocate labour effort accordingly to react to business priorities
- Plan and co-ordinate manufacturing processes
- Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods
- Working with Manufacturing to support NPI builds through various development phases
- Support with NPI, working with design, production, tooling and quality
- Assist with the creations of BoMs, build processes & cost evaluations related to NPI
- The ability to implement change and implement new process and procedures
- Plan and implement new layouts, work flows and maximise efficiency
Education / Experience required:
- HND/BSc in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent relevant qualification or experience
- Production Engineering / NPI experience
- Lean manufacturing experience
- Excellent manufacturing knowledge
- Proven ability to project manage and keep to project timescales
