Back to searchWe are recruiting for a mechanical maintenance engineer to join a team of mobile engineers in providing building services and plant room maintenance to several commercial sites across the Edinburgh region. You will be expected to have and excellent understanding of plant room and building services engineering, compliance and have a multiskilled background.
The role is aPermanentposition paying 40-44k depending on qualification level.
Mon-Fri 40 hours per week days plus overtime. 8am-5pm with flexible start and finish times
Van supplied with fuel card. Half and hour each way travel time.
No on call required.
Duties & Responsibilities
Completing building services / mechanical / HVAC maintenance across the facilities
To undertake planned and reactive maintenance tasks on mechanical plant room systems
To complete PPMs in line with SLA and KPI agreements
To respond to Helpdesk requests, providing a professional and timely service
Work on AHU's, fans coils and general HVAC plant room
Commercial plumbing and pipework tasks
Compliance checks
Small works projects
Skills & Background Required
Recognised professional mechanical engineering qualification, Level 3
Advantageous - AC or Gas certification
Multiskilled background, ideally to have experience on general HVAC plant including AHU's, fan coils etc.
Will accept gas engineers (including domestic Gas ACS) to train up
Proven building maintenance experience within a commercial environment
Must be presentable, articulate with a sound understanding of compliance and PPM paperwork and records
Driving license and willing to operate on a mobile basis
