Job Description

Recruit UK is delighted to be working on an exciting opportunity for an Office Services Assistant to join a highly reputable Investment Management firm.

This hands-on role involves managing essential office services to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. If you are organised, proactive, and enjoy providing top-notch support to colleagues, this could be the perfect role for you.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Mail and Supplies Management: Handle incoming and outgoing mail, courier services, and maintain inventory levels of office supplies and consumables.
  • Facility Support: Set up meeting rooms and event spaces, ensuring materials are prepared and spaces are tidy and functional.
  • Office Maintenance and Security: Maintain cleanliness, oversee security protocols, and report repair or maintenance needs.
  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with external providers for cleaning, repairs, and other office-related services.
  • Health and Safety: Support safety standards by acting as Fire Marshal and assisting with emergency planning (First Aid training provided if required).

Skills and Experience Required

  • Organisation and Attention to Detail: Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and ensure high-quality work.
  • Communication Skills: Confident in interacting with colleagues, vendors, and visitors both verbally and in writing.
  • Problem-Solving and Initiative: Proactive in addressing challenges, leading with initiative and supporting smooth operations.
  • Team Collaboration: Willingness to work closely with others and contribute to team success.
  • Previous Experience: Background in office or facilities support is preferred. Fire Marshal or First Aid certification is a plus but not essential.
