SRG are working with an exciting biotechnology company to help them find a Senior Process Development Scientist to join the team.

The Role:

The successful candidate will have responsibility for the synthesis of a range of peptides and peptide conjugates. The role will also co-ordinate the delivery of a variety of polyclonal antibody projects, through process development and technical transfer into the GMP production facility.

  • Lead synthesis and purification activities to produce high quality peptide products .
  • Co-ordinate process development of polyclonal antibody projects to enable smooth transition into GMP production.
  • Provide a high level of specialist technical knowledge and training for other members of the team.
  • Prepare project specific development documentation to a high standard e.g. SOPs, development protocols and associated reports, batch records

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant scientific discipline
  • Extensive hands-on experience in peptide synthesis, purification and analysis is essential
  • Extensive experience in downstream processing and scale up, to include: column chromatography, Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF).
  • Experience in protein analytical methods i.e. SDS-PAGE, protein assays, UV assays, HPLC.
  • Experience in writing technical documents, e.g. development reports, batch records, SOPs
  • AKTA experience is desirable
  • Experience of technical transfer would be beneficial
  • Ability to work in a small team and demonstrate adaptability
