We are currently seeking a Mechanical Plumber for commercial maintenance work in Edinburgh. It will be 3 month minmum contract with option to extend or go permanent. Must be able to pass DBS/ Disclosure check.

Working as part of a plumbing team within the mechanical department the main responsibilities are to ensure that the day-to-day maintenance and reactive activities are delivered throughout the site to a high standard and in a timeous manner to ensure the safe and continuous operation of the plumbing related equipment within the buildings.

Looking after all mechanical equipment throughout the building that comprises heating equipment (pumps, control valves, radiators) ventilation equipment (fans, heating/cooling coils, Humidification) Domestic Hot Water equipment (calorifiers, safety devices) compressors, manifolds for medical gases, Building Management System control equipment.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • A good standard of Secondary Education, including Maths and English
  • Must have a background in Domestic & Commercial Plumbing and Drainage, preferably with a recognised apprenticeship.
  • Extensive and varied post apprenticeship experience in installation, service and maintenance is essential for this role.
  • Knowledge of TMV's and Legionella Control preferred.
  • City & Guilds, S/NVQ or equivalent qualification
