Join an ethical organisation, who is looking to appoint a Part-Time Temporary Administrator. This role is crucial in supporting the day-to-day operations of their organisation, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness within their administrative processes. The position is initially for a two-month period, with the possibility of extension.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Ensure the smooth running of the Edinburgh office, creating a productive work environment.
  • Provide general administrative support including word processing, photocopying, diary management, meeting organisation, and travel booking.
  • Manage Administration emails, forwarding, and replying to correspondence.
  • Handle mail, open all letters, and scan to staff as appropriate.
  • Act as the first point of contact for general enquiries received by phone.
  • Address enquiries from the website, social media, and instant messaging, ensuring appropriate information is passed to staff.
  • Handle confidential information in accordance with our policies.
  • Supervise the housekeeping of office areas, office supplies, and furniture.
  • Coordinate and liaise with ICT support and lead on problem-solving IT and communication-related issues.
  • Support team members with organising events and training as required.
  • Assist the wider team with the onboarding and induction of new employees.
  • Carry out any other duties reasonably associated with the role.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in an administrative role.
  • Excellent administrative, IT, and financial skills including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and cloud-based systems.
  • A flexible approach to meet the demands of a varied administrative workload.
  • A responsible individual who understands the importance of dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Understanding of general GDPR compliance and cyber awareness.
  • (Desirable) Experience of coordinating projects and organising meetings and events.
  • (Desirable) An interest in Business Administration, particularly in the Third Sector field.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Excellent communication skills, able to interact with people from diverse backgrounds in a warm, patient, and sensitive way.
  • A team player with strong motivation to resolve problems and help others achieve outcomes.
