HR Assistant

Edinburgh - Hybrid

£15 per hour, paid weekly

Meraki Talent is currently supporting a large Financial Services firm with the appointment of an HR Assistant to their Edinburgh Team. This is a Full-Time contract for a period of 6 weeks, an hourly rate of £15 per hour and a hyrbdi working model.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience within an HR Assistant role
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Exhibit a collaborative working style.
  • Display enthusiasm, a results-driven approach, and cooperativeness.
  • Have a positive and confident approach to work.
  • Be client-focused and quality-oriented.
  • Be capable of working effectively in both team environments and independently.

The responsibilities of the HR Assistant include:

HR Policy and Process:

  • Administering updates and issuance of the Staff Handbook.
  • Providing administrative support for Employee Relations (ER) caseload.
  • Setting up processes for staff communications, including New Start Chat and Exit Interview processes, and supporting other communication initiatives (ERG, WB Proud, WB Wellbeing, CSR, etc).
  • Supporting the annual salary review process for remuneration and benefits.
  • Collating monthly information to ensure the payroll cutoff date is met.
  • Managing the annual compliance project for the firm.

Recruitment and Selection:

  • Providing support for the entire recruitment and selection process, including creating job profiles, advertising, CV review and shortlisting, interviews and assessments, job offers, and compliance checks.
  • Contributing to and supporting the implementation of continuous improvements in the recruitment process.
  • Assisting in regular campaigns for the recruitment of graduates and interns.
