Meraki Talent is delighted to be engaged in the appointment of a Payroll Professional for one of the UK’s leading accountancy firms. This role offers flexibility, with opportunities to be based across several office locations in Scotland.The CompanyThis firm is widely recognised as a leader in its field, providing the full suite of traditional services expected from a top-tier accountancy practice. Internally, they are also celebrated as one of the most fair and supportive employers in the industry, known for fostering a positive and inclusive working environment.The RoleDue to continued growth within the Payroll Services function, the firm is looking to appoint a Payroll Professional to support their expanding team. They welcome candidates with varied levels of experience and offer flexibility in terms of office location across Scotland.This role involves managing all aspects of payroll, supporting a wide range of clients, and leading a team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Calculating PAYE and National Insurance contributions (weekly and monthly)
  • Processing payments for absences, including sickness, maternity, and paternity leave
  • Administering Real Time Information (RTI) submissions
  • Supporting the auto-enrolment process for pension schemes
  • Completing tax year-end procedures for a diverse client base

Candidate ProfileWe are keen to engage candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Previous experience in bureau payroll
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both colleagues and clients
