Occupational Therapist
Permanent | Full time role based in Ayr
Hours: Monday – Friday 37.5 hours
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum.
Our well established client are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join their team on a permanent basis.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Manage patients using evidence based and patient centric principals to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
- Responsible for observing, recording and reporting patients involved in 1:1s and groups.
- Support junior occupational therapy staff and students
- Provide practical support, advice and education to service users, carers and other disciplines
- Be responsible for the recording of all patient related activity information
- Required to ensure the effective, timely and accurate updating of clinical records and computerised information systems.
- Carry out risk assessments including any potential hazards in the service users environment
- Be competent in use of relevant screening and assessment tools
Qualifications & Experience:
- HCPC registered
- Occupational Therapy degree
- Full RCOT membership
- Experience of working in inpatient mental health or in a similar role
