Your new companyYou will be joining a multi-trades team for a large organisation, working across various commercial building types in the City Centre of Edinburgh. Due to an increase in workload, they are looking to addYour new roleYou will be working as a plumber on both reactive & planned maintenance work. Duties may include:

  • Repairing and maintaining plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drainage systems, and sewage lines across campus buildings.
  • Inspecting and testing plumbing systems to ensure systems are functioning correctly and meet safety standards.
  • Fixing leaks and clogs, addressing issues such as burst pipes, leaking faucets, and clogged drains.
  • Setting up sinks, toilets, water fountains, and other fixtures in new or renovated facilities.
  • Conducting routine maintenance to prevent plumbing issues before they arise & diagnosing and resolving complex plumbing problems.
  • Ensuring that boilers, water heaters, and HVAC systems are functioning properly.
  • Working with electricians, carpenters, and other personnel to complete larger projects.
  • Responding to emergency calls: Being on-call for urgent plumbing issues that need immediate attention.

What you'll need to succeedYou will need to be able to present proof of valid & up-to-date plumbing qualifications and a UK Driving Licence. Due to the mobile nature of the role, you may be based across various sites within Edinburgh city centre. What you'll get in returnYou will be offered a long-term contract with a high chance of this becoming permanent for the right individual. You will be paid PAYE via Hays weekly with the option to build up annual leave. You will also receive regular updates from your Hays consultant.
