Associate Planning Consultant

Location: Edinburgh

Are you a driven and commercially minded planning professional looking for your next challenge? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic and highly respected Town Planning consultancy practice at Associate level in their Edinburgh office.

About the Role

As an Associate Planning Consultant, you will:

  • Manage a variety of projects across development sectors including energy, infrastructure, residential, retail, commercial, healthcare, tourism, and leisure.
  • Handle planning applications, appeals, and development plan submissions.
  • Prepare planning appraisals and carry out in-depth research.
  • Play an active role in delivering strategic advice to clients with a commercial focus.

About You

You should have:

  • An RTPI-accredited degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional post-qualification experience.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A proactive and commercially focused approach.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Problem-solving and negotiation expertise.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
  • A full driving license and access to a vehicle.
