Are you an experienced risk professional looking for a new and exciting opportunity? Our client, a leading banking institution, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Operational Resilience to join their team. As the primary point of contact for all operational resilience, business continuity, third-party, and data risk inquiries, you'll play a key role in driving the bank's risk management strategies and ensuring compliance with industry best practises.Responsibilities:Provide expert advice and guidance on operational resilience, business continuity, third-party risk, and data protection.Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement risk management strategies across the organisation.Conduct thorough reviews of the bank's risk and control environment, identifying gaps and enhancing risk mitigation strategies.Develop and maintain policies, frameworks, and standards related to operational resilience and risk management.Foster a culture of risk awareness and resilience throughout the organisation, working closely with cross-functional teams.Represent the bank in external forums and industry groups, sharing knowledge and best practises.Identify and implement training programmes to improve risk awareness and capabilities across the organisation.Mentor and develop junior risk staff to support talent pipeline development.Act as a key contact and escalation point for senior stakeholder engagement.Assess compliance with Group policies and risk appetite.Support the implementation of the risk management strategy.Leadership & Teamwork:Lead and role model enterprise risk management aligning with the organisation's strategy, behaviours, and values.Challenge and influence to embed a strong risk management culture and behaviours.Develop an effective team through communication, performance management, development plans, and reward/recognition practises.Qualifications:Proven experience in risk management within the banking industry.Strong knowledge of operational resilience, business continuity, third-party risk, and data protection.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to effectively communicate with and influence senior stakeholders.Proven leadership skills and the ability to develop and motivate a team.A strategic mindset with the ability to drive change and innovation.Join our client's dedicated team and make a significant impact on their risk management function.
