Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Head of Land you will:

  • Identify and assess potential land opportunities for large-scale solar, wind, BESS, and hydrogen projects
  • Secure land for grid connection applications in collaboration with internal teams
  • Build and maintain relationships with landowners, agents, and key stakeholders
  • Negotiate land rights agreements, including leases and easements
  • Provide support on land-related matters to the development team
  • Present new opportunities to senior leadership and the investment committee



Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a land acquisition or property-focused role, preferably within the renewable energy sector
  • Demonstrated success in securing land rights and developing strong relationships with landowners and stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of UK planning policy and its influence on renewable energy development
  • Knowledge of distribution and transmission networks and their role in energy projects
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively
  • Self-motivated, organised, and capable of working independently to meet targets and deadlines
  • RICS accreditation (preferred but not mandatory)
