Your new companyI am delighted to be partnering with a third-sector organisation in Edinburgh as they recruit for a Procurement Officer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an organisation that serves and improves the community. This is a small procurement team where you will be answering directly into the Procurement Manager and covering a variety of categories, giving you great scope to learn and improve your skills. As this organisation follows Public Sector Procurement Regulations, previous experience in this sector is essential. Your new roleResponsibilities include:

  • Provide guidance to the wider organisation on procurement practice
  • Utilise Scottish Procurement Frameworks to ensure regulations are followed
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage suppliers and negotiate contracts
  • Support the Procurement Manager in day-to-day duties

What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate will have:

  • Worked in Scottish Public Sector Procurement (essential)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A commitment to continuous professional development (CIPS qualified or working towards)
  • Familiarity with procurement IT systems
  • Experience with Quick Quotes and OJEU procurements
