We are looking for a Purchasing Assistant on a fixed term basis for an initial three months to join our central support team in Edinburgh. You will be reporting into the Projects, Buildings & Estates Manager and working closely with our Procurement & Projects Coordinator.

This is a full time, temporary role working 40 hours a week Monday through Friday for three months with the possibility of being extended to six months.

You will be assisting the Procurement & Projects Coordinator with an exciting new project of procuring materials and objects for our new hotel opening this spring. This is a great role for someone who has a real eye for detail, to ensuring that it is bought at the best possible wholesale price.

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting the Procurement & Projects Coordinator on procuring products, materials and services for a luxury hotel opening.
  • Source and select suppliers based on price, quality, availability, and reliability
  • Negotiate terms with suppliers to ensure favourable pricing and delivery terms
  • Place purchase orders and track order status
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases
