Job Description: Senior/Quantity Surveyor (12-Month Contract, Edinburgh)

Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior/Quantity Surveyor for a 12-month contract to provide commercial support to project teams, ensuring accurate cost reporting, contract compliance, and successful project delivery within budget. This role involves liaising with clients and third parties to manage variations, claims, and payments. This is a large-scale, multi-platform extension project located in Edinburgh with the client being a Tier 1 Main Contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurate cost and value reporting, cash flow forecasting, and CVR updates.
  • Support project teams with contract deliverables and cost reviews.
  • Manage project changes, submit contractual notices, and prepare compensation events.
  • Ensure compliance with Company procedures and corporate governance.
  • Draft and manage subcontract documents and payments.
  • Lead and mentor team members, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Build client relationships and support business development plans.
  • Conduct site visits, manage contract margins, and ensure timely final accounts.
  • Promote Health, Safety, and Quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in Quantity Surveying within the Civils sector.
  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge, with NEC contract experience.
  • Excellent analytical and leadership skills.
  • Effective communication and relationship management.
