System Engineer - Phased ArraysLocation: Edinburgh I am working with an innovative client specializing in cutting-edge RF MEMS technology. They are seeking a System Engineer to help develop next-generation phased arrays for SATCOM and 5G applications. This role will focus on system simulation, algorithm development, and specification writing for high-performance, low-cost smart antenna solutions. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed system requirements based on customer specifications.
  • Ensure all requirements comply with relevant regulations.
  • Define RF system board layout strategies and integration plans.
  • Lead system-level RF integration and debugging activities.
  • Design algorithms to control RF blocks and collaborate with the digital hardware and software teams for integration and validation.
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in RF and system modeling.
  • Expertise in algorithm development for complex systems.
  • Proven experience in system integration, prototyping, and transitioning designs to production.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
Desirable Skills:
  • PCB layout experience for complex systems.
  • Experience with link budget calculations and Keysight SystemVue.
  • PhD or advanced degree in RF Systems or Communications Theory is a plus.
