FM Search & Select are looking for an experienced Property Manager to oversee an exiting new commercial& residential portfolio in Edinburgh.

About the Role

This is a pivotal role requiring strong leadership, exceptional organisational skills, and a customer-centric mindset to ensure we achieve and maintain high levels of occupancy, resident satisfaction, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the overall leasing strategy, ensuring targets are met for occupancy, income, retention, and customer satisfaction.

  • Manage and inspire the leasing and customer service teams, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability across all functions.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional departments (maintenance, marketing, finance, etc.) to ensure seamless operations and consistent service delivery.

  • Oversee the day-to-day leasing operations including new leases, lease renewals and tenancy transitions.

  • Develop and implement resident engagement strategies that foster community, encourage lease renewals, and generate referrals.

  • Monitor team performance and KPIs, delivering regular reporting and implementing improvements where necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant property regulations, health and safety standards, and internal policies.

  • Act as a key point of contact for residents and commercial tenants, resolving escalated issues professionally and promptly.

About You

  • Proven experience managing residential and/or commercial properties, with a strong background in leasing and occupancy management.

  • Track record of successful team leadership, with the ability to motivate, delegate and manage performance effectively.

  • Demonstrable understanding of high-level customer service and its impact on resident retention and leasing success.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, tenancy regulations, and property management systems.
