Are you a multi-skilled Handyperson / Assistant Engineer with experience in electrical, plumbing, and joinery? Looking for a versatile and proactive individual to assist our engineers with maintenance and repairs around a government building in Central Edinburgh.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting electrical engineers with minor electrical work, including light fittings and wiring support
  • Carrying out basic plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks and minor pipework repairs
  • Performing general joinery tasks, including repairing shelves, doors, and small fittings
  • Supporting engineers with maintenance tasks throughout the building
  • Handling minor IT troubleshooting, such as setting up equipment and basic tech support
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and joinery work
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools
  • Ability to problem-solve and work independently
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to undergo a DBS check
