Job description

Loudons is an independent, family run business and almost completely homemade. Thats not just the food on your plate, but also the architectural and interior design. We do it all ourselves.


Our 2 city centre restaurants are open day time hours only between 8am and 4pm, 7 days a week serving up breakfast, lunch and brunch for all appetites.


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Restaurant Manager with a hands-on approach to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager you will support them in their role and be responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant and leading the team in delivering excellent guest experiences.


Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the daily operations within the restaurant
  • Delivering an exceptional guest experience through excellent communication with the Front of House and Kitchen Team
  • Managing and coordinating all team members during service
  • Monitoring stock levels and placing orders
  • Collaborating with the Restaurant Manager to develop and implement training plans
  • Training, supervising and conducting performance evaluations for team members
  • Creating, implementing and monitoring strategies to increase sales and profitability
  • Monitoring and maintaining cleanliness and maintenance of the restaurant
  • Monitoring and responding to guest reviews
  • Monitoring and reporting on Key Performance Indicators and providing a daily handover


Experience

  • Previous experience at Deputy Manager level within the hospitality industry is required
  • Experience in use of OpenTable & Procure Wizard is desirable but not essential


Skills

  • Natural leader with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Strong financial understanding
  • Proficient in use of computer systems - Microsoft Office & Point of Sale
  • Solid understanding of HACCP / COSHH / Health & Safety regulations
  • Highly adaptable and able to problem-solve operational issues / guest complaints
