About the Client
My client is a well-established consultancy in energy procurement, specialising in helping businesses across the UK reduce their energy costs. They are known for providing tailored solutions, expert advice, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients in both the private and public sectors.

About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales or business development, ideally within the energy sector. The role requires an individual who is self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven, capable of working independently to drive new business.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with businesses spending between 300k and 2m annually on energy.
  • Identifying energy-saving opportunities and offering tailored energy solutions to optimise client spend.
  • Managing and expanding the client portfolio, while achieving revenue targets.
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless delivery of services to clients.

About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:

  • A proven track record in sales or business development, preferably within energy procurement or a similar field.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • An ability to work independently, self-manage, and manage their own diary effectively.
  • Excellent organisational and results-driven mindset, capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • A proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities and maintaining long-term client relationships.
  • The ability to collaborate with colleagues and support the development of junior team members.
