The Role of Business Development Manager

  • This is a field / home based role.
  • As Business Development Manager you will be tasked with targeting predominantly commercial and multi-site industrial and manufacturing organisations in and around the Central Belt of Scotland.
  • The successful Business Development Manager will target mid- to large sized customers selling sustainable (needed) solutions / service contracts to businesses.
  • Average order values are30k-40k.
  • There will also be some responsibility for managing larger strategic accounts.
  • Key aspects of the role will include self-generating appointments, following internal leads, building a pipeline and negotiating.
  • The Business Development Manager will talk to stakeholders and decision makers at all levels including Procurement Managers, Sustainability Managers Warehouse Managers, andMD's.
  • The incoming Business Development Manager will inherit a strong pipeline.

  • Candidates that have sold service contracts such as,washrooms, hygiene services, waste, data management, security contracts, office supplies, soft facilities management services will be of particular interest.
  • We are also keen to talk to those that have sold into manufacturing and industrial companies.
